BlueBet Appoints New Chief Marketing Officer
BlueBet has hired Thomas as their new Chief Marketing Officer in Australia, bolstering their Australian team. Thomas previously held the position of Chief Marketing and Digital Officer at Nova Entertainment.
In his new position, Thomas will be in charge of BlueBet’s marketing strategy and operations in Australia.
Before joining BlueBet, Thomas spent three years providing consulting services to Australian companies through Wiseguy Communications and co-founded Fans.Inc in October 2021.
Before that, he spent over nine years at Nova as Chief Marketing and Digital Officer, where he also held the role of Head of Media and Advertising at Coles Group.
Furthermore, he served as Marketing Director at PepsiCo for nearly six years, Vodka Marketing Manager at Diageo, and Brand Manager at Anchor Toby.
“BlueBet is experiencing a rapid growth period, and I am excited to assist in accelerating its growth plans, shaking up the market, and continuing to gain market share,” stated Thomas.
“BlueBet possesses a genuine challenger brand mindset, filled with intelligent and enthusiastic employees, which is precisely the type of company I enjoy being a part of.”
Being a competitor brand, we must work more quickly and cleverly, crafting significant, impactful concepts that stand out in a busy marketplace.
BlueBet’s Chief Executive Officer, Bill Richmond, stated: “Tony has developed and carried out some of the most recognizable marketing campaigns over the past two decades, and significantly, he has built a team and culture that aligns with BlueBet’s values and disruptive mindset.
“Tony brings strong strategic thinking to the company and has some exciting ideas on how we can take our brand and offer to the next level.
“Australians have a wide range of choices when it comes to wagering, so creating an Australian brand that Australians adore is very important. The BlueBet team has done a fantastic job, with a wealth of industry expertise, and I’m thrilled to join such a high-performing, enthusiastic team.”
“Tony understands that BlueBet is a competitor brand with a unique value proposition and appeal to Australian bettors, and we believe his expertise and vision will have a real impact on our business.”
The appointment comes after BluBet’s strategic investment of A$500,000 in free-to-play sports gamification platform provider Low6 last month.
BlueBet stated that the investment will allow it to expand its own product offering into free-to-play gaming, as well as help with onboarding and engagement with its customer base.
