The 2023 Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Gaming Conference, arranged by Asia Gaming Brief, concluded yesterday in Manila, Philippines with unprecedented participation. The three-day gathering attracted nearly 1,300 attendees, signifying its largest assembly to date.

The conference not only shattered attendance figures but also displayed a remarkable variety in its participants. Sector specialists journeyed from Macau, Armenia, Australia, Cambodia, Cyprus, the UAE, India, Germany, the UK, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malta, Ukraine, Vietnam, and Singapore to partake in the occasion.

Elevating the enthusiasm, the conference integrated an exposition area for the first time. This novel element drew in numerous exhibitors from across the world, all keen to exhibit the newest advancements and patterns influencing the gaming sector. Prominent backers of this new inclusion encompassed GamingPe, Hann Resorts, Angel Singapore, Naga Games, and BetConstruct.

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) also provided substantial backing to the conference. Alejandro H. Tengco, the organization’s recently designated Chairman and CEO, delivered the inaugural keynote speech, establishing the groundwork for a vibrant and informative event.

Daesik Han, Chief Executive Officer of Hann Resorts, also graced the stage as a keynote speaker. He enthralled the audience with a captivating presentation that surveyed the company’s latest accomplishments and offered a preview into its ambitious growth strategies.

Luis Pereira, the top dog at Asia Gaming Brief, commented on the remarkable triumph of this year’s ASEAN Gaming Summit. He stressed how the gathering stood as a strong indicator of the gaming sector’s tenacity, rebounding with more vigor than ever from the difficulties of the global health crisis. Pereira conveyed heartfelt thanks to his staff for their unwavering dedication in executing such an extraordinary event. He underscored their commitment to progress, expanding upon the prior year’s achievements to establish a firm base for what lies ahead.

Pereira also recognized the invaluable backing of industry colleagues, notably the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), without whom the event would not have come to fruition. He further extended his appreciation to the operators from throughout the area who actively engaged and imparted their knowledge. A standout feature of this year’s summit, Pereira observed, was the exceptional roster of presenters. He relayed his gratitude to all the panelists, facilitators, and speakers for their generosity in sharing not only their time but also their abundance of expertise. Looking forward, Pereira emphasized the significance of input in shaping an even more prosperous event in the coming year.

Mirroring Pereira’s feelings, Vicky Chan, General Manager of Asia Gaming Brief, expressed her pleasure at the overwhelmingly favorable feedback from sponsors and exhibitors alike. She proudly declared that this was their most comprehensive and productive summit and exhibition thus far, honored by the attendance of numerous industry frontrunners and high-ranking officials.

She expressed great excitement, noting that participants are already anticipating the subsequent iteration of their gathering, eager to re-engage with important customers from across the world,” she concluded.

The Eastern Asian Gaming Summit culminated its last day with a grand finale, succeeding a poker networking function at City of Dreams Manila and a closing celebration at XYLO within The Palace Manila.
