Okada’s Bid For Okada Manila Casino Fails As Court Upholds His Removal
The appellate court in the Philippines has issued a judgment against Kazuo Okada, dismissing his bid to take over the Okada Manila casino resort. This ruling comes after a dramatic event in which a group of more than 50 people physically ejected Okada from the premises.
Okada, who was removed from the company in 2017 amidst accusations of financial impropriety, had been attempting to reclaim his position based on a high court directive. However, the Court of Appeals concluded that this order did not bestow upon him the power he asserted.
This recent decision represents another obstacle for Okada in his ongoing legal struggle to regain control of the casino. The situation escalated into a physical altercation when a contingent, which included officials from the Philippine gambling regulatory body, forcibly removed Okada and his associates. Footage of the incident, depicting the tumultuous scene, was widely disseminated online.
The Okada Corporation isn’t accepting this passively. Following the audacious seizure attempt on September 2nd, they’ve promised retaliation. Their counsel has examined the appeals court’s ruling and is escalating the matter to the highest court. This is far from finished!
