Century Amusements Shifts Strategy in Cambodia with New Casino Partnership

Century Amusements, a publicly traded entity in Hong Kong, is altering its strategy in Cambodia. The company is terminating its contract with its previous Chief Executive and Chairman for high-roller gaming activities in Dara Sakor, a developing casino city. Instead, they are forming a direct partnership with a Cambodian casino operator in the area.

This fresh agreement grants Century Amusements’ subsidiary, Wisdom Venture Holdings, control over all seven VIP tables at a casino in Dara Sakor for the upcoming three years. Consider it a lease arrangement. They will remit a consistent fee of $35,000 monthly to the casino proprietor, Dragon King Entertainment, and in exchange, they retain all earnings from those tables – but also absorb any financial setbacks. They will also oversee and compensate their own personnel.

Dragon King Entertainment is not entirely excluded. They are accountable for all operating expenditures – utilities, staffing, and more. Furthermore, they possess the gambling permit, which is essential.

Regarding the casino itself, it is poised to be quite the venue. Envision approximately 40 standard gaming tables, 55 VIP tables, and 80 slot machines, all housed within a single structure. Additionally, there is a Chinese dining establishment, a spa, and even a nightclub. This is not merely a casino; it is a comprehensive experience.

Century Amusement is gathering its stakes and venturing to more promising ventures! They’re relocating their gaming operations from Sihanoukville to a fresh gambling establishment in Dara Sakor. Initially, their aim was to debut in February, but as one might expect, the pandemic interfered. Currently, they’re aiming for a grand unveiling at some point in March.
