888 Bolsters UK Bingo Presence with Acquisition of Jet’s Mandalay Brands

A top gaming company, 888, has strengthened its presence in the UK’s digital bingo sector by purchasing a collection of established brands from Jet. The agreement, worth £18 million (roughly $23.3 million), gives 888 control of popular names such as Costa Bingo, City Bingo, and Sing Bingo – collectively referred to as the Mandalay brands.

These brands were previously powered by 888’s Dragonfish platform through a business-to-business arrangement. 888 will now oversee them directly, focusing on consumers in a business-to-consumer approach.

888’s chief executive, Itai Pazner, highlighted that this purchase aligns with the company’s goal of expansion within regulated markets. He anticipates that combining these well-known brands with 888’s existing capabilities in product innovation, marketing, and customer service will create substantial opportunities for growth.

This development comes as 888 continues to solidify its standing in the online gaming industry. Pazner, who recently shared 888’s wider strategy in a discussion, assumed leadership from Itai Frieberger and appears eager to pursue growth through strategic acquisitions in addition to the company’s internal initiatives.
