American Gaming Systems (AGS) is commending a current high court judgment that permits bingo entertainment to persist on indigenous territories in Texas. The court determined this week that the state of Texas cannot impede the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo and Alabama-Coushatta tribes’ entitlement to provide digital bingo on their reservations.

Texas possesses some of the most stringent wagering regulations nationwide, and the tribes have contended for years that their gaming activities fall under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA), even though the state dissented. Ultimately, the highest court aligned with the tribes.

AGS Chief Executive Officer David Lopez praised the decision as a triumph for tribal autonomy. “Following an extended journey through the judicial system, I desire to extend my sincere felicitations to our Native American commercial associates and companions,” Lopez stated. “This judgment empowers these sovereign nations with the potential for financial self-sufficiency and confirms their entitlements as federally acknowledged tribes.”

AGS collaborates extensively with tribal gaming administrators, supplying an assortment of goods and services for their land-based enterprises.

Lopez stated, “Our company supports our tribal business associates and hopes they have prosperous current and future commercial endeavors as independent nations in Texas.
We are honored to assist all of our indigenous partners nationwide, particularly these groups who have struggled extensively for their financial independence.”
